Wow what a job !

Despite having worked for a large organisation on the periphery of North Edinburgh for many years I was totally unaware of the huge infrastructure of community projects supporting the area until I joined SBC. Tasked with building a Business Network to further develop CSR activity within the area I have received huge support from local businesses with over 100 organisations being happy to support requests from North Edinburgh.
I very much enjoy working with the very diverse range of people that I am exposed to both within the community and in business - getting things done, delivering on time and to everyone’s satisfaction. I have total flexibility to explore all sorts of different avenues within CSR in the area which has resulted in getting the best fit for all concerned along with the continual exploration of new opportunities.
Employability Skills Programmes, Employment Events and sourcing of Work Placements for local schools are ongoing to enthuse students ambitions, aspirations and achievements. The promotion of inclusion through the arts for young people as a diversion from anti social behaviour is also high on the SBC NE agenda as is the continued support of North Edinburgh Business Incubator and Jobzone Plus at Telford College.
