Hello! I’m Andrew and I joined SBC as I am passionate about working, living and leaving the world in a better place than I found it. My journey to Scotland from South Africa has taken me via commercial life in London and a development world in Tanzania, with plenty of time in between for exploring! During this time, I have come to realize both the power of business and with that it’s (unfulfilled) capacity to make lasting change for a fairer, safer and more environmentally sound world. It feels to me like the vast majority of businesses are only now taking their first tentative steps towards achieving this change, and I wanted to be a part of that change, to help in any way I could in the solution towards a more just and sustainable world.

I believe solutions to all our challenges and innovative opportunities for growth lie in our hands, but only by working collaboratively from both a local and global perspective.
 
What I found at SBC are people who share this passion and desire for change, and are able to add incredible knowledge, dynamism and laughter to the journey we are all on together. Sharing this with others make the `job’ less like work and more like a lifestyle and hobby choice! Everyday I am inspired by the stories of my colleagues and SBC’s partners, about their engagement with business, the community and the environment. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be a doing a job I both really enjoy and truly believe in.
