The Prince's Ambassador Award

 

The Prince’s Ambassador in Scotland Award is presented each year to an individual whose leadership and commitment to responsible business has resulted in changes and improvements inside their own organisation, and who has also inspired others to take action.

Sue Bruce, Chief Executive of Edinburgh City Council, was appointed by HRH, The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay as his Ambassador in Scotland at the SBC Sustainable Scotland Summit on Wednesday 2 June 2010 at Holyrood Palace.

Following a successful year as Ambassador, Sue Bruce retained her title at Scottish Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence in June 2011 and will continue in her role for a further year.


"I am delighted to retain the title of Ambassador to HRH, The Prince Charles,  Duke of Rothesay.  Sustainability continues to be a central focus of Edinburgh City Council's policy development and I look forward to building on the work of Scottish Business in the Community in helping to promote the importance of engaging in corporate social responsibility and partnership working between public and private sectors"

Sue Bruce will be The Prince’s Ambassador from June 2011 – June 2012.
