In the current economic climate, the Awards give forward thinking businesses the opportunity to strengthen their reputation, right to trade and sustainability credentials. The UK Awards for Excellence works as a business tool that measures impact while providing robust and highly regarded external verification. Highest scorers are awarded the 'Big Tick', which is being used by hundreds of businesses all over the UK to compete for customers, contracts and staff.

The 2010 Awards Cycle

• The UK Awards for Excellence was launched on 3 December, see our partner organisation www.bitc.org.uk/awards for categories and entry information.  
• Entrants Workshops in Scotland have now taken place, SBC Members can now book a free one to one Entrant Surgery, an hourly rate will apply to Non Members.
• Closing date for entries - 5 March 2010.  
• SBC Company of the Year shortlist is chosen in April from SBC Member’s who have entered the UK Awards for Excellence
• Winners announced in June at SBC’s annual Celebration Event.  
• Entrants who were not successful will receive feedback, with an opportunity to improve their chances with follow up support.
