Employability Leadership Group
People with mental health problems have the lowest employment rates of any of the main groups of disabled people.
SBC manages an Employability Leadership group which brings together
a number of small, medium and larger businesses to drive forward the
employability agenda. The group meets four times a year and play a key
role in influencing and shaping how the business sector becomes
involved in employability and the link to the CSR agenda.
This group is chaired by John McElwee from Marks &
Spencer: Regional Head Human Resources. Members of this group include:
Boots, Royal Mail, Dunfermline Building Society, Enterprise Rent a Car,
Weber Shandwick, Aramark, Haven Products, John Wood Group, Nairns
Oatcakes Ltd, Chamber of Commerce, Scottish Executive and Job Centre
Plus.
