SBC Good Practice Groups

SBC is facilitating a number of Good Practice Groups that focus on issues that are important to our members.

Sharing good practice and working through challenges on a particular issue is especially useful. SBC is therefore facilitating a number of Good Practice Groups that focus on issues that are important to our members.

The aims of the Good Practice Groups are to:

  • Learn from other SBC members about how they have taken forward a particular issue (e.g carbon reduction or skills)
  • Share ideas on what has worked and the challenges or barriers
  • Identify how to overcome the challenges and how members can support each other on the particular issue

It is hoped that as a result of the Good Practice groups, some guidance will be produced to support SBC members and employers new to the particular issue.

Four Good Practice Groups are currently being convened, focusing on:

  1. Carbon Reduction
  2. Supporting your staff to work with schools and unemployed adults
  3. Measuring the impact of community activities on your staff and business
  4. Communicating your CSR strategy internally

Further information on all these Groups will follow shortly.
