Programmes Overview

	Closing the Gap is an innovative initiative bringing together business leaders and school management teams to improve the no positive destinations of students. Started in 2003 in Glasgow, it aims to maintain, sustain and develop positive links between schools and businesses and has brought significant benefits to schools and local communities.
	Numbers Partners - SBC in partnership with Learning and Teaching Scotland are running a pilot Number Partners programme in Scotland. Number Partners is a volunteering scheme that brings together business volunteers and schools, working collaboratively to improve standards and literacy.
	Ready for Work is an established evidence based business model that creates training and recruitment opportunities for businesses in Scotland to include people who are currently homeless and unemployed. It aims to equip excluded groups, through business support, to gain the necessary skills to gain employment and independent living.
	The Senior Executive Programme uses the business skills of volunteer managers to provide professional advice and support to organisations that need help with issues regarding business knowledge but lack the resources to pay for it.
	Our Youth Education & Employability Programme is aimed at increasing the capacity of our young people to enter the workforce and continue to build the Scottish economy.
