A wind turbine manufacturing scheme in Ayrshire is among the latest projects to be supported by Scottish Government Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) cash.

The RSA quarterly report includes a £250,000 grant to Ayrshire-based Proven Energy Ltd to create 29 new jobs in the development, manufacture and installation of small-scale wind turbine systems.

More than 700 Scottish jobs could be created or safeguarded with the help of £5.4 million in the latest instalment of RSA grant offers.

Twenty-two businesses in Scotland accepted grants linked with planned capital expenditure of more than £16.2 million. Fifteen of the companies are indigenous to Scotland.
