SBC Awards
Introduction

At Scottish Business in the Community we believe in celebrating success.

Every year we reward those businesses who demonstrate responsible business practise in our annual awards presentation. The awards are not easy to get. The assessors are thorough and independent, judging which businesses have integrated Corporate Responsibility policies with positive impacts.

The awards are the main way in which SBC identifies and celebrates good practice in Corporate Responsibility throughout Scotland.

There are three types of Awards:

  • UK Awards for Excellence
  • SBC Company of the Year Award
  • CommunityMark Award

Awards Workshops and Surgeries

The Awards Workshop is designed to help companies find out how to enter the awards, become an assessor and is a great networking opportunity. Workshops are held throughout the country every year from November through to January.

The events are free of charge for SBC member companies. Non-member companies are welcome to attend but should note that there will be a charge of £25 + VAT for private-sector companies and £15 + VAT for not-for-profit and voluntary organisations.

Also on offer are Awards Surgeries - an opportunity for a one-to-one consultation on your Awards submission with SBC Development Manager Karen Davidson. These are also chargeable for non-members at a cost of £65 + VAT.

How to enter

Details on how to enter the Awards for Excellence 2009 will be updated shortly.
