Eco-shop aimed at unconverted opened by prince in Edinburgh

The Herald

Shops promoting sustainable living have traditionally been aimed at consumers who need no persuading when it comes to recycling and buying organic.

But a new type of eco-shop to be opened in Edinburgh today by Prince Charles at the start of his five day UK-wide “eco tour” is aimed at those who are yet to be convinced.

The trip – to promote the Prince’s Start initiative, which brings together charities and businesses to promote energy-saving, low-carbon living – will be launched in Glasgow at lunchtime, before the Prince travels by royal train to Edinburgh to open the Start Living shop in St James Shopping Centre.
