The SBC Large Company of the Year Award is judged separately from the Awards for Excellence, by a high level panel of Scottish-based judges. Entrants have to be SBC members and have to have entered the Awards for Excellence in that year.
Entrants are asked to submit a summary of between 500 and 1000 words, outlining why they should be Large Company of the Year. The judges will assess them on:
- Business Benefit – demonstration of business benefit from CSR activity. Integration of CSR into the way the company does business.
- Community Benefit – demonstration of positive impact on community
- Management – evidence that the approach, process, delivery, measurement etc of CSR activity has been clearly effective
- Innovation – In the way any partnerships and new relationships are used to fertilise and catalyse the future.
The Large Company of the Year status adds further affirmation that Lloyds TSB Scotland is truly committed to a corporate social responsibility strategy, which benefits their business and ultimately the Scottish economy.
In the Judges’ comments Lloyds TSB Scotland “showed strategic fit between strategic objectives and CSR with clear outcomes and achievements.”
