Clydesdale Bank reporting recognised at the Australasian Reporting Awards
25 June 2008
Clydesdale Bank's parent company National Australia Bank (NAB) has collected two top Corporate Responsibility honours.
The Corporate Responsibility and Annual reporting teams collected the honours at this year's Australasian Reporting Awards. Announced during a black tie function in Sydney last week, the national awards were established 55 years ago to encourage effective communication of financial and business information.
NAB's Corporate Responsibility Report - which includes information from both Clydesdale and its sister bank Yorkshire Bank - was awarded top honours in the Sustainability Category. In making the award the judges commented that the NAB report, "... represents world's best practice in sustainability reporting, demonstrating a notable improvement on their last report, in particular the presentation of data and accessibility. The combined package provides a complete and credible view of NAB's operations and impacts. A concise review enables stakeholders to quickly and easily assess NAB's sustainability performance, while the detailed fact and Information pack meets the needs of even the most demanding of SRI analysts."
Additionally, the Annual Report, including Shareholder Review, received a Silver Award.
