Project plants 1200 trees a day for seven years
20 Dec 2007
Some 1200 new native trees have been planted every day for the past seven years in what is being billed as Scotland's biggest-ever corporate commitment to the environment.
The Scottish Forest Alliance, a woodland conservation project uniting BP, Forestry Commision Scotland, the Woodland Trust Scotland and RSPB Scotland, will today release statistics on successes of the project.
Fourteen sites are benefiting from SFA investment in locations including Galloway, Falkirk, Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Huntly and Skye.
