DLA Piper - A Tree for Two Cities

10 Sep 2007

DLA Piper is proud to present - A Tree for Two Cities - a community based project in support of our young people and designed to have a positive impact upon protecting our environment.  Working with The Central Scotland Forest Trust, DLA Piper will be selling native broadleaf trees to the Glasgow-Edinburgh commuters providing the opportunity for them to offset their carbon emissions through this innovative re-forestation project.

Talking about the project, Nigel Knowles, Joint CEO of DLA Piper said, "My heartfelt thanks to my colleagues in Scotland who have shown great commitment to making a difference to the lives of young people supported by The Prince's Trust - as well as making a positive impact upon the environment."

Geraldine Gammell, Director, The Prince's Trust, Scotland commented, "A Tree for Two Cities" highlights the carbon emissions generated on one of Scotland's busiest motorways and shows us how we can help to offset those emissions.  It is an imaginative, win-win project which offers supporters the opportunity to help both Scotland's environment and some of its disadvantaged young people through the work of The Prince's Trust in Scotland.
