Low Carbon World 2007

To show it recognises the impact of climate change as part of the way we do business, Bank of Scotland Corporate is sponsoring the Building a Low Carbon World Conference '07 which will examine the impact of the “built” and urbanised environment and what measures can be taken to reduce the carbon footprint of existing and new developments.

Hosted by Quintain Estates and Development PLC, a longstanding Bank client, the conference will be held on 26 April at the Royal Geographical Society, London, an institution whose heritage and mission is to study and preserve the natural world.

The conference will bring together senior business leaders from across the UK to discuss what measures they are taking to reduce carbon emissions and how they are reconciling sustainability with their duty to grow their businesses and realise value for their shareholders.

James Naughtie of BBC Radio 4's Today programme will chair the event which includes key note speakers followed by panel discussion with audience contribution.
