Business Support for Employment and Training Day
06 Feb 2008
Local members of Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) North Edinburgh have joined forces to support an Employment and Training Day ‘Opportunity Rocks’ organised in partnership with the Pilton Youth and Children’s Project (PYCP), Working Links and local Secondary Schools.
In order to ‘sign post’ the young people to appropriate advisers volunteers from McGrigors, Pinsent Masons, HBOS and the Prince’s Youth Business Trust welcomed and engaged with attendees.
Organisations invited by SBC North Edinburgh to offer advise included McGrigors, North Edinburgh Business Incubator, City Appointments, State Street, Apex International Hotel, designlinks, Escrivo Internet Consulting, Scotland Gas Networks, Molly’s Play Centre, The Town House Company, Amey Business Services and Farmers Autocare.
James Cran from McGrigors LLP commented “The three staff we sent to help at ‘ Opportunity Rocks’ were extremely impressed with the organisation and professionalism of the day and found it most encouraging that 10 of the companies involved had job opportunities on offer. This certainly is the type of worthwhile initiative that McGrigors is pleased to support.”
