Business mentors go bowling with pupils

A number of pupils at Springburn Academy have a Business Mentor.  The business mentors have become involved through the monthly SBC meetings at the school.  The businesses are; Harper Collins, Enterprise Rent A Car and Dell Computers.  The mentors meet with their pupil once per month.

Mentoring is currently in its second year and has covered various points with the pupils but mostly has had a positive impact on their self esteem.

This Christmas the mentors and their mentees went on a trip ten pin bowling and a great time was had by all. 

The team with the highest score was declared the winner and all pupils played a good game!  Each pupil received a Christmas gift from their mentor and participated in the Dell Christmas Card design competition.  At the end of the event, mentors, mentees and teachers agreed that the trip had been great fun!

It is hoped that the Springburn Academy Business Mentoring will continue to be as productive in the future.
