6th Sept - Celebrating Closing the Gap
An Evening Reception at Glasgow Science Centre
A school girl from Lochend Community High School scooped first prize in a design competition at a Celebrating Closing The Gap event on 6th September hosted by Glasgow Science Centre.
The competition asked pupils to design a logo for Scottish Business in the Community’s ‘Closing the Gap’ initiative. Closing the Gap is an innovative programme bringing businesses and schools together to reduce the number of no positive destination pupils in the most disadvantaged parts of Glasgow.
The aim of the event was to thank the schools and wide range of businesses who give up their time to work on the Closing the Gap Project over the past four academic years. It was also an opportunity for guests to understand the work of Scottish Business in the Community.
