Zero Waste Scotland: Focus on Food Waste

Food waste remains a significant component of many businesses general waste stream. This could become a significant expense should it become banned from landfill in the coming years. As part of the Zero Waste Scotland Small Business Resource Efficiency programme, a series of workshops focusing on food waste will run during 2010.
The workshops will inform businesses of how they can realise cost savings through reducing food waste and diverting it from landfill. Businesses will learn about local service providers operating in their area and how other businesses have successfully dealt with their food waste arisings.
