SBC Event Leadership in the Environment - 23 March 2010
There is no doubt that we live in unprecedented times, with the future of the planet held in the balance. Yet the environmental crisis presents us with the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, whether or not we are in formal positions of authority or consider ourselves to be experts on environmental matters. Watch this space for more information about this unique course from the Prince’s Mayday Network in association with Core Solutions.
SBC Event SBC Training: CSR Essentials 25 March 2010

Event CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (Anderson Strathern, from Apr 20, 2010 09:00 AM to Apr 20, 2010 12:30 PM)
The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is a new mandatory carbon trading scheme that will affect large public and private organisations from April 2010. The aim is to encourage energy efficiency and CO2 savings by providing a financial incentive to reduce emissions. This will in turn raise awareness within large organisations, driving change in behaviour and improved business practices. Participation in CRC will be a legal requirement if you had a total half hourly electricity consumption of at least 6,000 megawatt-hours in 2008. Before the legislation comes into effect, there are a number of ways you'll need to prepare. This morning seminar will offer practical advice to help you comply with the upcoming regulations and adapt your business plans to take account of these imminent changes. A range of presenters will provide guidance on the environmental, financial and regulatory implications of the CRC and provide an expert panel so that you can find the answers to your specific questions.
