The groups act as brokers, co-ordinating and channelling assistance from the business community in order to address the social and economic needs of disadvantaged communities. They bring the resources, energy, ideas and expertise of businesses and business people, to help tackle social needs and promote area regeneration in areas across Scotland.
Groups are made up of representatives of national and local companies who work in partnership with local agencies and projects. They focus on three broad areas: education and training; employment, and general community issues, such as environment, health and drugs abuse.
Over 400 companies are currently part of our network. The level of commitment reflects the extent to which they feel able to get involved.
