SBC Grampian is the most northerly of the Network groups and came into existence in March 2003. The majority of the work takes place in Aberdeen but the whole of Grampian is covered by the Group’s activities.
The Business objectives for the year April 2007 to March 2008 are detailed below:-

Preparing Young People for the World of Work
Achieved through the Ready for Work Project (RFWP), Liaison with Training Boards, Working with secondary schools in disadvantaged areas.

Promoting Team Volunteering
Achieved through identifying local community projects where volunteer support would make a huge difference and achieve project completion.

Building Health and Confidence in Young People
Achieved through running the 2007 Community Sports Challenge in Sep/Oct involving young people from 8 local Community Groups participating in training and competition in 5 sports

Increase capability and management strength and structure of local social firms
Achieved through delivering series of workshops on range of business topics and helping identify people to strengthen Board

Identify community projects resource needs and seek support from Business
Achieved through continual contact with projects to determine needs and resources and deliver once sourced
